Reader survey 2025: make Geopolitical Europe even better

Many of you have been reading Geopolitical Europe for over a year now, and it is great to see how much traction the project could gain over this relatively short period of time.

Since the start of this substack, Geopolitical Europe has had three priorities:

• informed commentary how dynamics in international security and geopolitics affect Europe, and how Europe reacts to them

• visibility for research and writing from bright people writing on these topics, both as practitioners and academics, to bridge the gap between these two worlds

• a contribution to the “so what” debate: bringing key concepts from strategic studies and security studies into the policy debate for better informed debates and policy-making on European strategy

These ambitions will also guide the content of Geopolitical Europe in the future — but to make the format even better, I need your support as a reader.
